There is more to credit repair than just getting rid of the negative information. You have to make sure that your good behavior shows up on your credit report as well.
It can be frustrating if you have one well-paid account and it only shows up on one of your three credit reports. Another exasperation is if the account isn’t reported at all on any of them.
How does this happen? Some creditors simply don’t bother to use credit bureau services and others, usually sub prime lenders, and deliberately hide the histories of their best customers. That is so that you are not offered the best rates.
Although you can’t force a creditor to report an account to a bureau you can always ask.
