Credit Cards FAQ
What is the difference between a cash back program and a rewards program?
A cash back program is actually a type of rewards program. This type of program pays you cash back or rebate a percentage of the money that you have spent on your credit card. This is for the rewards seeker who prefers cold hard cash and would perhaps like to apply this cash to debt reduction.
A rewards program does not offer cash back to the credit card user but rather its own specific currency, which is usually, points. These points are worth airmails, gasoline, drug store purchases and other kinds of products and services once they are redeemed.
