Average Daily Balance
This is one of the methods that credit card companies use for calculating your monthly finance charges. Adding your charges and subtracting your payments daily as they occur calculate the average daily balance. They are then reported back to the credit card company. At the end of your billing period, the average of these daily computations is calculated and your interest rate is applied to this figure.
